For the Record(s)

Cleveland Police, along with federal Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) agents, served a search warrant on a Cleveland business last Friday.
That's Cleveland GA, by the way.

They took his records but left his guns?

He's allowed to keep and sell them, but not replace them?

I don't know what's going on yet, but am trying to find out.

If you can shed any light, please do.

Oh, and snazzy BATFU logo, isn't it? It'd look great on an armband.

Get Smart

"We are serious about the lives of children," said Reverend Edward Smart. "If a child is allowed to run rampant in the streets and is allowed to use community guns, the question is does a community really care?"

Well, Rev, if you really want to get smart about it you'll do two things:
End socialism and end citizen disarmament.

Because the seeming paradox is, that type of Control results in Chaos.

We're the Only Ones There for Our Friends Enough

Miami-Dade County police continue to investigate whether a man fatally shot himself while in a car with an off-duty police officer who was his friend.

It's just a good thing he got the gun from an "Only One," and not off the street or through the "gun show loophole."

Courting the Press

A radio reporter for KDKA was arrested yesterday morning and accused of trying to take a loaded handgun into the Allegheny County Courthouse.
I wonder how many "Authorized Journalists" working for gunbashing media companies have learned to carry in the field? I wonder how many gunbashing AJ's change their tune and carry guns when it's their precious rear ends on the line?

We're the Only Ones Protecting You Enough

Even if we have to kill you to do it.

We got an interesting perspective from a resident on the ground the other day:
They keep calling the inspection crews "strike teams" as well, and I am getting sick of it. Almost all of the work done was not by government but ordinary people who just showed up to fill or throw sandbags. People showed up with water before the red cross (lower case intentional). Volunteers, both from the communities at risk and from other states, saw the need and pitched in.

These same people who showed they didn't need "their leaders" to tell them to fight the river are now refused entry into their own homes. They are told to wait until the homes are deemed safe and treated like little children who couldn't have survived the last few days without their "leadership". Homeowners were required to give up the keys to their homes to people they now don't trust in order to have them inspected. One community got fed up and stormed the checkpoints and sent the police running. That, btw, is not being reported.

I just saw the home I grew up in surrounded by water Saturday because of a levee failure. A levee that the corps of engineers (again, lower case intentional) refused to allow to be improved, thus showing their "leadership."

Yeah, I'd trust any of them the keys to my property.

Hello, Mr. Chips

A Rhode Island school district has announced a pilot program to monitor student movements by means of radio frequency identification (RFID) chips implanted in their schoolbags.
It's nice to see the human assets being taught inventory control at such an early age.

I wonder at what point the planners will introduce First In, First Out?

The Bystander Effect

A man parked his truck on a country road outside Turlock on Saturday night, removed a baby boy from a car seat and then beat the child to death in the street, fighting off passers-by who tried to stop him, until he was gunned down by a police officer whose helicopter landed in a nearby pasture, police said Sunday...

"One (person) tried to intervene, and the suspect pushed him off and continued assaulting the baby," Singh said.
One person? And being pushed was all it took to dissuade him?

...almost a dozen people had witnessed some part of the incident, with at least two trying to physically stop the suspect...

They evidently didn't try very hard.

It's called the bystander effect. The Eloi stand frozen as Morlocks drag one of their number into the darkness.

That's the way those who would have us defenseless and conditioned to relying on "The Only Ones" would have it. It's the way they need it to be.

This Day in History: June 17

Government enforcers learn that people who are sick and tired of abuse will only be pushed so far.
