Missoulian's Jamison Assumes Brady Campaign PR Duties
Oh no! Paranoid NRA spies! Now they'll know we oppose people being able to defend themselves--our most closely guarded secret ever! This compromises everything!
Oh, wait a minute--his tag line says he's a "reporter," so I guess The Missoulian wants their readers to think this is a straight news piece instead of agenda-driven hysterical Brady talking points.
Budding "Authorized Journalists" unconcerned with canons or ethics should pay close attention to propaganda pro Michael Jamison. He makes shilling and abandonment of all objectivity look effortless.

A Bad Rap
Gun trial accused Gary Lewis told police he was horrified the replica weapons he is accused of converting into live firearms had been used in murders, a court heard...If that's all it takes, I'm going to overcome my aversion and start listening to hip hop.
Despite fingerprint evidence linking him to a gun factory in Three Mile Cross he maintained he was not familiar with MAC 10 machine guns but had heard about them in rap songs.
Anonymized for Your Protection
News 13 is not identifying him because of his age. That seems pretty misplaced. Wouldn't you want to know if a kid this twisted was living near you and your children?
The One-Way Door of Separation
Albany County lawmakers today are expected to give a pastor $10,000 to keep up his efforts to get people to turn in their firearms. How is it a religious group can't put a manger scene on city property at Christmas, but the legislature can hand over wads of dough so a church can effect its beliefs on the public?
If we're going to be consistent about the so-called "wall of separation" the left relies so heavily on, shouldn't it also pose a barrier to their agenda?
Where, oh where is the ACLU, and Americans United Against Non-Marxist Religion?
The Kenneth Stokes Solution
Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes said he wants to ban the sale of guns at pawn shops.Of course he does.
Yo, genius--how did you attain such mastery of cause and effect?
By the way--give my regards to the mayor.
If Wishes Were Fishes, We'd All Join Mothers Against Gun Violence
The group Mothers Against Gun Violence holds its annual Community Vigil. Unfortunately it coincided with one of the most violent weekends of the summer. So wishing something away doesn't make it so?
Dang--I'm gonna have to come up with another plan...
In the mean time, mothers, here are a few suggestions, for what they're worth: a strong and devoted father in the picture always helps and enabling bad behavior always hurts.
Maybe work the development end instead of the developed one.
But there I go wishing again.
Showdown in Atlanta
Atlanta squares off against gun rights advocates Monday over whether people with the proper licenses should be able to carry weapons into so-called "nonsecure areas" of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.Keep an eye on this one. I'm sure the feds will.
U.S. District Court Judge Marvin Shoob is scheduled to hear arguments from GeorgiaCarry.org, which has sued the city and the city-run airport. The group is asking for a temporary injunction to stop the city from enforcing the airport gun ban. Atlanta city attorneys will argue the gun ban should remain in place.
Peace in the Valley
"Nobody can walk down the street and be safe, that is, be free from police interference," says Valley. Now there's a man who knows how to secure the blessings of Liberty! That's because, as The LRC Blog reports:
"We gonna pop [the drug dealers] in the head," says Mayor Valley, who just instituted a 24-hour, non-stop curfew as part of an effort to reduce violence. This means that everyone in the area is essentially under house-arrest. The people who live there are not even allowed on their front lawns. Now there's a safe society for you. And what's more:
There will be peace in the valley for me some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord, I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow, no trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me!
