Kids 'n Guns

[S]ince when do blanket ignorance and avoidance produce superior results over age-appropriate training and discipline?

A teen ignores the "experts" and shoots a bad guy. Today's Gun Rights Examiner column is posted. You'll also get a link to listen to an interesting exchange on what cops think of gun "buybacks".

Now in Injia's Sunny Clime...*

At least 143 people have been killed and 370 people have been wounded...
Ah, life in Memsahib Brady Paradise.

A day or so before Thanksgiving, someone sent me an anti-gun editorial by an Indian living in the US, and I didn't post it at the time. Too bad, because I can't find it now, and it would be relevant to ask the guy how well his way is working for his countrymen.

A Nation of Consumers

A Wal-Mart worker died after being trampled when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island store Friday morning, police and witnesses said.
You have to wonder about the values--and value--of a society where this happens.

We're the Only Ones Corrugated Enough

A standoff at a New Jersey bank is over after police learned a "person" seen inside was actually a full-size cardboard figure.
Well, just thank goodness it wasn't one of those assault mannequins...because we know how nervous "Only Ones" can get around those...

We're the Only Ones High-Flying Enough

State police and airline ticket agents whisked a Rockland man who claimed he had a gun around TSA security checkpoints at Logan International Airport, putting him on a plane after he flashed a Chatham assistant harbormaster’s badge and claimed he was a federal agent, an FBI affidavit said.
Hey, come on--an assistant harbormaster is kind of like an "Only One." I can see where he'd be exempt where you and I would not be...

And why am I suddenly thinking about Tugger?

Digg It

This links to a video on "assault weapons" made some years back by Leroy Pyle. Make sure you "Digg it" first, to increase popularity and thus visibility.

What's in a Name?

...“grass-eater”...
I like it.

Almost as much as "cud-chewer."

A Sensible "Gun" Editorial...

...from Chicago...?

I love this line:
When it comes to firearms, Mayor Richard Daley is no slave to rationality.
Skillful understatement is an art.

CCTV cameras which can 'predict' if a crime is about to take place are being introduced on Britain's streets.
The Department of Pre-Crime.

I guess the public has been dumbed down enough to believe in magic. And to allow themselves to be controlled by it.

Not that a nation that would elect a Lightworker should be feeling all that superior.

We're the Only Ones Licked Enough

Two Iraq war veterans allege in a federal lawsuit they were forced by small-town Wisconsin police officers to lap up what was thought to be urine.
I'm sorry, but they would have to kill me first. Really.

Why the vets didn't refuse is a question I have. And then I read the young animals are respectively 19 and 20? I guess that's a prime age for feral gangbangers. Who better to exalt to the status of "Only One"?

Perhaps the vets from the "Battle of Athens" were of a generation still in touch with rights that are no longer taught. But what disturbs me the most about this is the "follow any order" mentality manifested here.

If you can order a soldier to lick a puddle of urine, what order won't he obey?

I see Wisconsin Dells, where this happened, is a big tourist destination. I think it would be in order to let them know we just wouldn't feel safe putting ourselves at the mercy of their hired sociopaths, so until they use their influence to put a conclusive end to such abuses, we have plenty of other choices. You can write them at info@wisdells.com. You can also tell their Chamber of Commerce.

And I guess as long as we're sending out correspondence, it wouldn't hurt to let their police department know how such abuse deserves to be treated by citizens who do know their rights and are committed to defending them against domestic enemies:

This Day in History: November 28

The number inlisted since my last are 2540 men. I am very sorry to be necessitated to mention to you the egregious want of Public Spirit which reigns here; instead of pressing to be engaged in the cause of their Country, which I vainly flattered myself would be the case, I find we are likely to be deserted at a most critical time...
