Obama paid a good bit of lip service to "freedom and the vision of the Founders" in his inauguration speech. He is a doubleplusgood doublethink duckspeaker.

Columnist in the paper today takes Virginia Citizens Defense League to task for RIDICULING two or three gun ban advocates who showed up on the state legislature's designated lobbying day, which happens to be Marvin Leroy King Jr. Day.
The banners say, in effect, that only certified firefighters should have access to extinguishers and water hoses. That helplessness is victory.
It's a good thing we're the good guys. They should go down into the 'hood and tell THEM they have no right to guns. But no, then they'd die several times over.
A shame they're verbally beating our tolerance and sympathy for their losses out of us (Virginia Tech, the gun-free campus where professors *wanted police present* if and when they talked to Cho about his violent writing assignments. Forced to live in fear.
If they win, we all lose. But they lose most of anyone. Because they, like Solzhenitsyn, will realize too late...
Near the end of the speech, he invokes the revolutionary patriots, blood on the snow as they defend the capital, and George Washington's exhortation "Let it be told to the world that in the depth of winter when nothing but hope and virtue could survive, that the city and the country, alarmed at one danger, came forth to meet it."

We got Obama because Bush destroyed McCain's chances. McCain sky rocketed in the polls when he picked Palin. The ticket had a 12 point lead over Obama until Bush came out with the bailout scam. McCain dropped like a rock in the polls.
ReplyDeletePeople have missed this fact but its true if you go back and look at the huge lead McCain had that went up in smoke when Bush threw the election to Obama.
