I guess if you're not going to let a little thing like "shall not be infringed" bother you, why would Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution's proscription that "No... ex post facto Law shall be passed" slow you down? [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks into the fine print behind the new gun owner harassment and registration bill I talked about in yesterday's column.
As always, I ask WarOnGuns regulars who find value here to help me spread the word so we can get full advantage from this national exposure to a broad audience. Please keep it up so that results like yesterday's (#1 in "Politics" and #2 in "National") can become the norm. Not that I wouldn't mind our unalienable right to keep and bear arms taking and holding the very top spot...
I am working on it as best as I can, along with other issues of gun control along with it.
ReplyDeleteThe joke is the liberals helped you pull it off by having one of their own post pure propaganda. The rifleman's remarks were nothing short of treating gun owners as if they were the useful idiots the liberals herd around. All of this showed these people think they are smart but simply don't get it. When the shit hits the fan, you can bet these kind of people are going to be starving to death. They will be waiting for government to feed and take care of them, LOL!
ReplyDeletebtw/ David, before you ask. Yes I noticed and I'm sure others have as well that the 9th of this month was the last day the Examiner didn't have "national" in the site logo. A smooth transition from Cleveland to nothing to now National. See we notice things! Unlike so many only ones that simply don't notice their guns are loaded when they "clean" their guns.
ReplyDeleteThis looks to be the same bill he introduced in 2007. It got 16 cosponsors and died in committee.
ReplyDeleteYou are dead right that we need to vocalize opposition immediately. This is the approach we have learned in IL. We now mobilized immediately when a bill is introduced. You gotta discourage cosponsorage.
We in IL recall Blair Holt, whose brave blood they are dancing in to propose this law. He was a youth, son of a Chicago Cop and a Chicago Firewoman who stepped in front of a girl when some thug shot 4 times on a CTA bus. He bravely did what we, the disarmed of IL, can only do when faced with armed violence...stop bullets.
The Cook County board renamed their AWB after Blair Holt.
