More Blood for Larry Hincker

On Wednesday, Jan 21, at 7:06 p.m., Virginia Tech Police received a 911 call reporting that a female was being assaulted in the cafe at the Graduate Life Center at Donaldson-Brown...[More]
Gee, Larry, why is it you don't come right out and tell people she was brutally stabbed to death in that gun-free zone you're so damn proud of?

I can't help but wonder how useless you'd have been had you been there to witness it, Larry. If the killer had turned his attention to you, do you think you'd have pleaded, blubbered, sobbed, girly-screamed and animal-howled?

And how wonderful you offer after-the-atrocity counseling.

If anyone would like to counsel Larry, go for it: hincker@vt.edu

Oh, and look: President Charles W. Steger is slinging BS around like the seasoned pro that he is:
We will continue to do everything we can to support the Virginia Tech family.
Really, Charlie? You'll rescind the firearms prohibition in Section 10 of your Student Conduct Code and get the hell out of the way of human beings who choose to be able to defend themselves? And ditto for section 2.7.3 of your Faculty Policies and Procedures? And Section 2.2 of your ludicrously-titled "Campus Workplace Violence Prevention Policy"?

How are those documents working out for you, Charlie? And if you say you can't do this, does it mean you're lying when you promise to do everything you can?

"Virginia Tech releases gruesome details of murder"

"When Virginia Tech authorities arrived Wednesday night at a cafe inside the Graduate Life Center, they found a decapitated female victim who arrived on campus just two weeks ago and a young man they have now charged with killing her ... with a large kitchen knife that they believe is the murder weapon."

Va. Tech will never be a "knife-free zone" so murders will continue.

  2. I know that if my child went to a gun-free campus and was assaulted or killed on campus, the first thing I would do is call the best 2A lawyer I could find and sue the blasted hell out of that school. Why? Because my child was denied the Constitutional Right to defend themselves against the savage that hides in the darkness. I would accept nothing less than full changing of school policy and state law, I would settle for no amount of money. If our opposition can use the blood of victims to make more victims, the least we can do is use victims to make more dead assailents.

  3. If my child went to a gun-free campus, I would encourage her to take a gun. If she did not have one, I would get her one. That way, she'd most likely be alive, and so would anyone who was attacked when she was around. THEN we'd worry about lawyers, cops and court and stuff like that.
I wonder if Tech students will have a vigil, build a memorial, stage a Die-In, protest at the state capital. It was "only" one life, and no gun was involved, so I doubt it. No political mileage to be gained for The Agenda.
I have to wonder if the victim was on of those who sneer at our "violent gun-centric Wild West American culture."
I wonder if the killer was Muslim. In their peace-loving, religion-centered culture, brothers kill their sisters for dating. Fathers kill their daughters for talking to men. That's just wild conjecture on my part, but I have a feeling. Beheadings do that.

  4. Sad on so many levels. First off, this was in a CAFE. The logical assumption is that other people were there too (being a cafe and all), and none of them did a thing to stop this. Gun free campus or not, I can't imagine sitting in a restaurant watching a fellow student be murdered and not try to do something to stop it.

Second, Virginia Tech is a public university and Virginia has a pre-emption law. VT cannot legally ban guns on campus, so they threaten students & faculty with a "school policy" threatening expulsion or firing. In other words, I can carry at Tech, but the students and teachers cannot under threat of firing. It's time someone sue the pants off them for this travesty.

  5. I made a small update on my blog while I'm on my lunch break, and will try to do more after work.

The comments at the news sources I originally linked to are getting into the campus carry debate. I encourage everyone to go and contribute.

  6. Simple solution: The university board of regents can just proclaim the campus a knife free zone and further disarm the students and staff.

What's it gonna take before somebody finally figures out that the only way illegally applied force can be effectively counteracted is by implementing a higher degree of justifiable force.

The "run and hide", when confronted by the presence of illegal force, mentality preached by today's so-called government educated elite serves nothing more than to create a population of passive lambs awaiting the slaughter.

My firearm may not save me from a fatal wound but I do expect the SOB who kills me to be waiting at Hell's gate to open it for me when I arrive.

  7. Hincker is irredeemable. Just carry until you get caught, if you do. Then flip them the bird and leave.

  8. Virginia OC community is very active at trying to get Tech's policy fixed. Remember, the policy only applies to students and faculty, so we have many members who OC at Tech regularly.

  9. "Larry. If the killer had turned his attention to you, do you think you'd have pleaded, blubbered, sobbed, girly-screamed and animal-howled?"
Precisely. The beheadings on video I've seen sound like a whipped dog howling combined with a baby screaming, then grunts and snuffling, then only the sound of a knife ripping. Not a fit death for a human being, or even a meat animal.
But Larry says it's better than having people shot. Any people.
Special hot iron-floored corner of Hell, Larry. And you barefoot.

  10. "Chief Flinchum told reporters that to the best of his knowledge, no one intervened during the attack, and there were approximately seven witnesses."

Response time was 1 minute. If you see someone take a knife and take it to their friend's neck, give it more than a few seconds to recover from the horror and decide to call, dial 911, descibe in agonizing detail twice or more to the 911 operator, who basically has a "WTF?" attitude before the call is dispatched while the bystander is fleeing the scene, then start the timer - more than one minute.

Compare this to the knife being pulled out, recognition of situation, gun drawn, double tap to the opto-nasal cavity - seconds. Maybe the knife has yet to contact flesh.

Remember folks, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away. Choose carefully the outcome you prefer.

  11. Obviously this woman was asking to be killed, otherwise she would have summoned the police at one of those blue call boxes located on campus.
