Michael Steele is currently leading in the poll.
Let we who have had enough of anti-gun RINOs change that.
I put in for Ken Blackwell.
I understand Saul Anuzis gave a GOA interview, but I haven't listened to it yet--I've just been too busy to look, so feel free to educate me.
Ditto for all the other candidates. Anybody gets any dope on 'em, chime in.
For right now, please go and vote and knock Steele out of the lead.

Voted - when I did Blackwell was in the lead by a dozen or so votes.
ReplyDeleteIf the GOP won't embrace the 2ndAmend, they are dead as a party IMHO.
They need a none of the above option.
ReplyDeleteDone. Ken up to 41% over Steele's 35%. I must admit I was a little hesitant. Ken Blackwell called me during the Ohio Primary and asked me to vote for John McCain. Had that been the general election, I would assume he was just supporting the party. However, doing so in the Primary shows he was supporting the RINO. That caused me to not vote for Blackwell for the NRA Board a week later. I hope Ken can end his RINO affiliations and do what needs to be done, I really do. I remain a bit skeptical.
ReplyDeleteDone did it... Blackwell now 44% over Steele's 35%.
ReplyDeleteDavid, you carry weight!
David: Your question was on page two with 76 votes after mine was added to it. Any idea how they are going to pick the questions?
ReplyDeleteAs of 3:20 am 5 Jan. Ken Blackwell 45% to Steele's 33%
ReplyDeleteDone!
ReplyDeleteDone and done.
ReplyDeleteOdd, the numbers seem to have switched, Blackwell 37% (401 votes), Steele 44% (481), even with my help.
ReplyDeleteProbably because we few who care are getting no help at all from the rest of the "gun community"--particularly those who tell people we 3%ers don't involve ourselves politically-- the fact that Blackwell only has 400+ votes at this time shows only a small percentage of my regular readers even care enough to do something simple like this. If all of them did, he'd have more votes than the total cast. And then some.
ReplyDeleteOh, and while I'm at it, where the hell is NRA, both for this and for Holder?
But WoG readers not helping out disappoints me. Hell, I can't get over half the visitors here to even go to my Examiner columns, so I'm sure I'm wasting my breath when I ask to help spread the word.
David,
ReplyDeleteI am a loyal reader and I had been following this a bit, without taking a look at his Co-Chair as I did cast my straw vote for Blackwell- even though good on 2nd, he is not the best on others.
However, his Co-Chair, if I had looked would have been an absolute stopper.
I was on the Credentials Committee at the Republican Party of Texas State Convention this past June 2008. What Tina Benkiser allowed and (I think wanted) to occur is a travesty. Go to YouTube and then RPT Nueces County & Republican Party Nueces County to see what I write of. The Chairman was changed a week before, he changed the long-standing rules about allowing recording (he STOPPED IT) did not allow anyone in unless it was their county business. Of course that changed with the only man STRIPPED of his credentials and when I pointed out he was no longer allowed in the meeting, our lovely chairman provided him an excuse and dispensation by saying he could stay as a guest.
No, I now have severe second thoughts about even that straw vote I cast for Ken Blackwell strictly because of his choice as Co-Chair and all your readers deserve to hear so- unlike Tina who does not seem to allow comments just like this one I post as is supposedly awaiting moderation:

I will not post it here unless you request it, and I thank you for your genuine and honest forum.

Denny Church--I posted on this today.
ReplyDeleteSee "Blackwell Blues."
Thank you.

Denny Church speaks from experience. I know this first hand for I had the honor of seeing that sad excuse of a "Convention" as an alternate delegate. There was a blatant disregard shown for ANY G.O.P rules, Roberts Rules of Order were indeed thrown out the window, and good men were not allowed to speak there minds. Benkiser is a deal breaker for me.
