President Bush said yesterday that the United States should work to stop the movement of guns across our southern border into Mexico. At the same time, the president said Americans could help Mexico by using fewer illegal drugs. [More]Every time I start to think the "Vote Freedom First President" can't possibly be as stupid as he comes across, he comes out and says something that makes me think "Yeah, he probably is."
If only it weren't for those damned American gun shows...

I voted for Clinton twice (back before I knew Anything. At. All.). I voted for Bush once. Maybe I'm finally learning....
ReplyDeleteAn ad for an online IQ test says G.W. Bush's is 125. I don't believe that for a second. 100 is average, and the bell curve drops off steeply below 85 and above 120. Brighter-than-average people don't giggle and say "sh--" to the Prime Minister of Britain in front of an open microphone at a summit meeting. They don't, especially, run on a gun rights platform and then promise to sign a semi-auto ban if Congress passes it. And they know -- or have the wit to find out -- that corrupt Socialist Mexico is not our friend, that military weapons are not available in American gun shops. He's ASKING people to use fewer Prohibited drugs? What, kicking in doors and shooting them in the back isn't working?
ReplyDeletePatience, my friends...
ReplyDeleteOnly 5 more days and Bush has to take a walk.
Unfortunately - I suspect we may soon wish we still had the dumb a** monkey to deal with.
This crap is already moving forward in the Senate:
ReplyDeleteS 205: A bill to authorize additional resources to identify and eliminate illicit sources of firearms smuggled into Mexico for use by violent drug trafficking organizations, and for other purposes.

I have good news and bad new for you.
ReplyDeleteGood news is ... we have a change in administration in five days.
Bad news is ... we have a change in administration in five days.
And just how do these people intend to stop the Mexican Army from arming the drug cartels?
ReplyDeleteThe armaments they are getting aren't smuggled into Mexico they are foreign aid to the Mexican government.
My sister called him stupid from the git-go. Looks like she was right.
ReplyDeleteP.S. We really ought to find definiions for some of those verification words. Some of them are right clever. One time, I commented on Nicki's post about the U.N., and the word was UNWOE!
One nice thing is Bush knows the people don't like him and he had eight years to do something good and blew it, big time.
ReplyDeleteSo he leaves office as a full on loser. Its clear this bothers him.
