BREAKING NEWS: Over 50 Police Vehicles Surround City Hall

NYPD and other law enforcement agency emergency vehicles came screeching into the are surrounding City Hall a few minutes ago. [More]
Huh. When they need armed protection, no problem.

UPDATE: He's changed his headline:
Nearly 100 police vehicles surround City Hall and nobody seems to know (or will say) why

Still no word on why, and I'm not seeing it on any regular news outlets...

UPDATE 2: Apparently something happened in a nearby subway, but I still find no corroboration from any other media outlets...

  2. Still nothing. At this point I would have to insist on confirmation from another source.

Not to disparage Mr. Harris, but I just don't see a response that large not getting any MSM coverage. The closest I've found on an internet search is City Hall being shut down on Wednesday due to an "asbestos disturbance."

Something doesn't add up. I'd like to know where.

  4. Almost certainly related to this free speech event: Rick Santelli of CNBC, appearing live from the floor of the Chicago Exchange called for a “Taxpayer Tea Party” in the wake of efforts to enact a new, multi-billion dollar taxpayer funded housing bailout.

This set off a string of such "tea party" protests of President Obama's "bailouts," many of which took place across the country today. Many more will take place across the country tomorrow, including in *** New York City, where protesters have an hour long event planned at 2 p.m. in City Hall Park.***

The event is described as "Part of a nationwide protest across America, against irresponsible government spending."
