Links for Today

I'm passing on these email tips. Sorry I'm not up to fleshing them out more. Bear with me.

Few details in Salinas police shooting
Police opened fire on an unarmed couple during a routine traffic stop late Tuesday night because one officer "thought he was shot," a high-ranking Salinas Police Department official said Thursday.
"The Only Ones."

Showering with Obama
The other night I dreamt of Barack Obama. He was taking a shower...
I had a similar dream, after reading about Alcee Hastings' FEMA camps. That one had showers, too...

That these stupid, fantasizing hole-filling cows cancel out your vote and mine is about the biggest obscenity I can think of.

Put 'em Back Up
Authorities in Los Angeles say a confidential report on police misconduct that included the names of hundreds of officers was mistakenly posted on the Internet.
Our names are publicized when we're accused...

"A highly respected officer"
A Toronto police trainer and firearms instructor kept her job yesterday despite a conviction for crashing her car in three separate collisions after an afternoon booze-up with fellow officers.
But note she's not above heavy-handed abuse when someone is her victim...

Another "Only One" gun
A Superbowl party in Northeast Philadelphia turned tragic when an off-duty police officer left a loaded gun on a table that was picked up by a friend who accidentally fatally shot his host.
I like how the reportress rues that there was no "safety lock."

We're the Only Ones escorting enough
A Boston police officer is being investigated for allegedly helping two gay porn stars from Sacramento cut through traffic to get to a nightclub.
Thank goodness that's all that went down...

  1. Re: Salinas:

Perennial Virginia anti-liberty state legislator Richard Saslaw thinks police should always ask whether you have a gun in the vehicle, and always search it if you get a citation. Not using your seatbelt is reason enough for him.
A lot more police are going to "think" they're shot, all right. No sympathy, for them or the people who send them.

  2. Since he says we're the cast of "Deliverance," we're not supposed to be able to read what he's up to.

RE: Toronto: Appears to be the same attitude as my county supervisors when informed that while Hispanics are 16% of the county's population, they account for over 22% of the crime.
"They work hard, and they party hard," he was quoted as saying.
    Hey *I* work hard...

  3. RE: Los Angeles:

"Hundreds of officers" accused of abuse. Could be more then half. Could be almost all.
We deserve to know who and what. They are actually as bad a threat as sex offenders, in that they don't go after a certain age or type, but anyone.
SEX OFFENDERS are registered and locatable in a searchable database with a map. Bad Cops? We're not allowed to even know the names.
I see one of the Salinas boys was present at a bad shoot. Motorists, knitting needle mistaken for an ice pick, epileptic seizure mistaken for an attack...
That's a lot of mistaking for "trained professional observers."

  4. How on earth does someone think they have been shot when the only gun in the house is the one they have. There was no bang, there was no flash, there was no impact from a bullet, there was no pain, there was no blood. There is no logic in this story whatsoever. My hunch is someone above these two pigs told them what to say.
What there was, was two liars covering up for each other. I can't help wondering what the real truth is. What really spooked these screwballs to reveal who they really are, cowardly parasites. There could have been babies in car seats in that SUV.
No problem here because the filthy parasites above these parasites will cover for them. Hey bet these dirtbags get awards and pay raises.

  5. Did anyone read the side notes on the Salinas shootings. My only question is HOW?!?!??! does someone pull a "loaded AK-47" out of their "waistband" WHA!?!? It has to be a typo! Or the anti-gunners are REALLY getting out of hand.

  6. AUG. 31: At 11:20 p.m., Iraq war veteran Philip Michael Dorado, 21, of Castroville, is fatally shot by Salinas Police Officer Louis Plunkett outside a Wells Fargo bank in north Salinas. Police said Dorado had pulled a loaded AK-47 out of his waistband. The investigation is ongoing.

James, I'm with you. However, the question isn't how someone manages to pull an AK-47 out of his waistband. The question is; How does some one manage to get an AK-47 into his waistband in the first place? Unless the guy wasn't wearing his pants, just carrying them.
