Here's how it needs to be done. Oil tanker sends distress call, takes evasive actions insofar as it is capable. (Or better yet, armed men aboard oil tanker defend by fire.) [More]
It seems really simple. I mean...we dropped Fat Man and Little Boy, no? But now we can't bring ourselves to off some skinnies who are costing the world market millions?
If any of the guys around here had a little money to invest and some business smarts this is a real chance to make some big cash. What they need to do is take some cash down to the border towns and hit some gun shops/FFL's. Buying some LAW's quad-50's some RPG's and so on so they are ready. They sell themself as contractors that will be armed to guard the ships. When the crooks come up in their rubber boats a quad-50 will quickly remove that rubber boat and its passangers as any kind of threat to the ship. The key is getting down to the FFL's selling this stuff before Blooming idiot and the Brady Marxist swing into action and get the dealers shut down. To make that wonderful and honest country of Mexico safe.
here's how it needs to be done: oil tanker is armed; people on oil tanker are armed. government kicks back and enjoys the show. taxpayers don't have to waste money on the government programs that don't even work on land, on foot and in car, in our own cities.
I am not aware that any U.S. flagged ships have been boarded by pirates. By going with lower cost countries of registration such as Panama and Liberia, shipping lines save themselves major money, but get what they pay for. Let's see a few Russian flagged ships boarded by the pirates and then see the response from their navy.
If people can go to africa to hunt wild animals. Why can't they go hunt pirates? Its a whole untapped market. Can you imagine one day sitting in you office somebody starts looking at your pictures and says "what's that?". You can say " Oh that old picture... thats when I went on a pirate hunting expedition... got me a couple too. they put up a hell of a fight"
