She tells us we "know these news stories are not helping the view some Americans have of gun owners," and reveals:
I personally wish that no one in America owned a gun, for hunting or otherwise; I've seen the twisted and sick glee hunters get from killing animals, and it makes me wonder sometimes about what they would do to a human being if given the chance.Actually, Aida, I do not give a damn about how "some Americans" view me--not if they're anything like you. You've just relieved us of any responsibility to care what you think.
It not only sounds like you have a bit of projection going on, but you also reveal some unresolved Daddy issues we really didn't need to know about, but are nonetheless instructive in explaining those all those weird noises and twitches.
But the government needs to do something, right? Anything?
Still, it's obvious that the government needs to do something. Perhaps government officials just need to work out a way to better control gun ownership with stricter rules on who can own a gun and what gun owners have to do to earn the right to possess one. They also need to put a limit on the number of weapons gun owners can possess and develop stricter penalties for sellers who don't abide by the laws when selling weapons. It may or may not help, but they need to take some kind of action.Go away, you immoral neurotic fool.

Aida writes like a 10-year-old.
ReplyDeleteThinks like one, too.
I have not known many hunters or hunted much myself, but everyone seemed to respect their quarry for its intelligence, instincts and superior senses that enable it to avoid or escape more times than not. It's not about meat or a trophy, it's about that one-to-one relationship with the earth they're always yammering at us about. Until you've experienced being a predator, you know NOTHING about nature.
Aida, more people shoot as a sport than play golf. Get over it.
But this isn't about a SPORT.
Perhaps government officials just need to work out a way to better control gun ownership with stricter rules on who can own a gun and what gun owners have to do to earn the right to possess one. They also need to put a limit on the number of weapons gun owners can possess and develop stricter penalties forblahdeblahblahblah*sigh* Lady, Jesus. How many times does it have to be said? "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." "Government officials" do not have the authority to do any of those dumb things you list above. Even if they did, they don't have the ability. I guarantee that last part. So STFU.
ReplyDeleteWell, she wants to advertise her status as prey, okay. Reply posted on OP.
ReplyDeletethis is what government schools do to people. this is what government everything does to people.
ReplyDeleteit's just one big death culture, really.
BTW, in regard to "twisted and sick glee" I offer this story of a family member's successful introduction to hunting, which happened just this past weekend.

Aida replied, so I posted specifics in links. Back to cutting firewood and hauling water and playing with Cole!
ReplyDeleteWithout a bunch of Southern boys who grew up with guns and visited Europe about 65 years ago, Ms. Ekberg's grandparents would have been fumes in the crematorium chimney before they had children. Swedish extraction? Danish? Norwegian? They had those Nazis give them trouble too. "The Heroes of Telemark" shows ordinary people in the Resistance with their terrible implements of the ARMED CITIZEN. They gave the Germans absolute hell.
ReplyDelete"It may or may not help.." I like how Aida points out that she has not given this any thought, but is only spouting off talking points.
ReplyDelete"Perhaps government officials just need to work out a way to better control gun ownership with stricter rules on who can own a gun and what gun owners have to do to earn the right to possess one."Spoken like a true elitist -- rights are not affirmed by our Constitution, but granted by the oligarchy, parceled out like merit badges to those who meet their criteria, which in the case of gun rights will be no one but the "only ones".
ReplyDelete"earn the right?!"
ReplyDeleteBullshit. If I have to earn it then it's not a right.
"Perhaps government officials just need to work out a way to better control gun ownership with stricter rules on who can own a gun and what gun owners have to do to earn the right to possess one."That's already been done: be born a human being. As opposed to being born a dog or a chicken.
