Watch it now.
No doubt just a few bad apples. Plus if he'd have done what they asked, he'd have never gotten in trouble.
Right?
I know that checkpoint--I've driven through it many times. The road to Yuma has long stretches of mountains and desert where you're literally on your own, miles and miles away from any help. It's a hell of a thing to make a man choose between his family's safety and the potential loss of his freedom.
I'm lucky I didn't get what I deserved. I'm sure if I had, there'd be no shortage of critics saying I made us all look bad.
But back to the video: I must point out we only have one side. I must also point out that if what he says is an accurate representation of what happened, any beasts who would do this to a citizen are domestic enemies.

Ok, firstly I agree that this is an appalling story. Not much more to say.
ReplyDeleteBut did you take a look at this guy's other videos? I'm a JPFOer and it's anti-semitic creeps like this that motivate me to maintain my own personal arsenal of firearms and ammunition.

ReplyDeletehere's another video of him.
W-t-W-G:
ReplyDeleteAnti-semitic or not, the man has THE SAME rights as you, and if this video is truthful, they were violated.
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but equality before the law means that even the people that you don't like are also entitled to its protections.
But did you take a look at this guy's other videos? I'm a JPFOer and it's anti-semitic creeps like this that motivate me to maintain my own personal arsenal of firearms and ammunition.i wouldn't be surprised if he -- or others like him -- feel the same way.
ReplyDeletehowever, this video is not about him, and david's post is not about either of you.
it is simply more evidence.

As I said on Checkpointusa, tall trees, short ropes

Who said otherwise? Did you read the first line of my post?
Even antisemitic, self-absorbed, self-rightous, dispicable, dangerous, worthless piles of snot like this "preacher" (and I get this opinion after watching about 90 minutes of his videos) are entitled to the same rights as sane, decent Americans. And I will (and have) put my life on the line to defend those universal rights.
Interestingly, all I have to do is show my extremely liberal family and friends stuff like this guy's videos and they quickly decide to come to the range with me.
No, I hadn't and still haven't seen his other videos. And I'm a "JPFOer" too--my review of "2A Today for the USA" is in the June GUNS Magazine, on sale now (/shameless plug).
ReplyDeleteThing is, I qualified this as reminding readers the true story must be consistent with his story. If so, I still don't want a government that can assault him due to loopy or despicable beliefs. Because if they get to be the ones to determine that, there's nothing to keep them from so labeling people like me, as the DHS and other reports show is happening.
I don't see him as very dangerous. He hasn't returned to the checkpoint, has he? I don't know anything about the man, but I do know that if his story is true there are some people east of Yuma who need to be killed.
ReplyDeleteActually, his story rings true to me. I cannot even imagine that the border patrol would respond with anything but violence to anyone questioning their authority. Even back in the late 80s when I lived in that area they were officious and nasty. I'd be more surprised if they had started to act like public servants as opposed to public masters.
ReplyDeleteIn a case like this, you rely on the credibility of the witness to convince you of facts unknown to us.
ReplyDeleteThis guy, I'm not so sure of.
Most of these officials don't see themselves as "public servants". they see themselves as powerful, invincible stormtroopers with badges and guns, who can order citizens to do what they want them to do.
ReplyDeleteIt is the whole ego issue. Men and women with very weak egos become empowered quickly by any form of 'authority' which gives them the green light to go ahead and boss others around.
However, the people have limits on the amount of BS they can take from these rogue bandits. TU FEI is the Chinese term for lawless bandit.
Romania, in 1989, was an example of what happens when people are pissed off by continuous, institutionalized lawless thuggery.
Watched and re-posted. With attribution, of course.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything else about this guy. I do wish there was more to go on, but it's not like his story is all that far out there in terms of credibility. This is the country we live in: This is why my magazine springs are under stress.
His story is certainly plausible -- this could have happened, and it does happen, all of the time. We don't need his video to convince us that cops of every shape and size abuse their authority.
ReplyDeleteBut to him? And the way he claimed it did? I don't know. He seems a little "out there."
I forwarded the video to all my Christian friends who still support The State. Which is, unfortunately, most of them. "When they came for the Jews..."
ReplyDeleteIf it were me, I'd get well, and i would kill them.
ReplyDeleteMy gut feeling is, they knew nothing about this random motorist except that he was alone and when he mentioned his rights under the Constitution they saw a chance to make an example. Like my experience with TSA, he can write letters and file whatevers and the top, top officials of the Border Patrol and ICE --Immigration and Customs Enforcement, will say they acted properly.
ReplyDeleteThe border security zone now extends wherever they say.
Dust off those CB radios, friends. We need to know where these creatures are before we're in their spotlights.
Passing this on to everyone I know who cares.
"Wake up America ... Why is this happening in America ???"
ReplyDeleteBecause we're not killing the bastards yet.
I'm trying to figure out why he was still in the car. I would assume they asked him to get out of the car and he refused. When they tell you they have probable cause and they are going to search your car, why not get out, set the keys on the hood and say "I'm not giving consent to search my car."
ReplyDeleteI think it's possible that he wanted this to happen.
Not that that makes it right, far from it. If what he says is true, then the people that did that to him should be in prison.
