All the more reason for everybody to get on the legalize drugs bandwagon.
Legalize em and all this insanity will go away.
But LE doesn't want that, and neither do gov'ts, because its much more profitable for them to continue to make believe that (some) drugs are worth fighting a "war" to eradicat.
Mexico with two fantastic coastlines and seemingly endless natural resources should be a middle class country. But its not because its ruled by thugs who are out to cheat anyone and everyone in any angle they can. Seal the border.
A manmade disaster stemming from the gullible being absolutely determined to tell everyone else how to live their lives, and giving their electeds the Power to do it. Prohibition breeds defiance, and the resulting crackdowns breed violence. We've seen it with drugs since the early '60s, though it has gone hemispheric with the GLOBAL literal MILITARY War on Drugs. They're ready to repeat the error with our guns.
The mainstream media carried a photo of the "anti-aircraft gun." It was about half the size of the one in the Rambo photo. Looked like a World War II relic. Maybe WW ONE. An air-cooled boxy little working replica inferior to everything people routinely bring to Knob Creek. And rusty.
Good photo, if you google "Mexico" and "anti-aircraft." The UK Telegraph has a photo of the gun and the woman arrested for possession of it. She looks like she could take any of the federales barehanded.

ReplyDeleteSoy un perro peligroso.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the article (emphasis added):
ReplyDeleteIt was attached to a make-shit gun turret mounted in the bed of a Ford pick-up truck.
I can't decide if it's a typo, or an intentional bit of humor.
