I'd like to revisit three stories we've discussed recently and share some new information and observations. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner column finds commonality in three seemingly unrelated stories: They all stink.
Also see alerts from Nevada and Oregon, and get the latest from my fellow GREs.

Thank you for keeping us informed and for connecting the dots, David.
ReplyDelete1. If you have to unholster in the bathroom stall, drop your handgun into the little hammock formed by your pants and underwear after you sit down. You won't forget it's there, for sure. An old cop's trick apparently not being taught to or figured out by the new cops.
2. Illinois should be part of Canada.
3. When they mandate "smart" guns, "smart" gun locks, "smart" gun safes or biometric ANYTHING is the time to put the good old dependable "dumb" guns to the use they were intended for.
4. My analysis of American social trends leads me to believe blacks will rebel against Obama because they think there should be MORE THAN ONE African-American on the court. Blacks are 20% of the population, Hispanics around 12% and rising. Obama's Sotomayor nomination will be viewed as premature and maybe even racist and a betrayal. Blacks may expect him to appoint an Asian next rather than someone of "his own people." They will NOT be happy. They are learning that Obama's people are the elitists and anti-Americans, as proved by his long association with Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Racism is ALWAYS wrong. Sotomayor is racist AND classist. Growing up in the projects doesn't mean one understands the SOLUTIONS any better than anyone else. If it did, mayors and police chiefs in our cities would be solving problems rather than exacerbating them.
One mark of intelligence is being able to analyze a problem and learn from the experiences of OTHERS. That's why government spends BILLIONS a year on studies. Obama and Sotomayor take us for idiots. Compliant, helpless idiots.
5. No doubt the coming national health care computerization of all medical records -- including mental health -- will be ruled not a violation of HIPAA privacy laws OR the Bill of Rights. One out of four people has had counseling or a prescription or both for depression, anxiety, mood swings or other minor, transient issues. We see that that's all it takes for our veterans to have their guns seized, and the guns of their families in the same home.
Time to be light on both feet, ready to move in any direction.
I wouldn't mind finding a loaded SIG or GLOCK hell even a S&W in the bathroom. Mum's the word.... or maybe I'd call the media first and we could read the serial # on the air and let the owner call live on the air to claim it?
