I Wonder if They Have a Corporate Logo T-Shirt?

What were they thinking? [More]

  1. If they had the T-shirt, it would probably using the Cyrillic alphabet, and would be as readable to most as the logo to the right of the flame in the photograph, which spells out "GAZPROM". The joint venture in a logo would appear as the Latin letters "H", a backwards "N", a lowercase "r", an "A", and "3", all at the same character height. Since this joint venture is not targeted to a North American market, they probably do not care what the logo appears to them.

"Niger" is the Latin word for black, and is the basis for the words in Latin derived languages such as French, Italian and Spanish. Other cultures would need an explanation to understand the American English slur.

The "prom" in "Gazprom" is from the Russian word for trade. However, there is another word in Russian that means "blunder" or "error" - "promakh".
