An off-duty police officer shot and wounded two men who had assaulted him in the crowded Angel Stadium parking lot...[More]Lucky for him he's one of the anointed.
Because Sandra Hutchens says the rest of us don't have lives worth defending. Just wanting to is not "good cause," plus we all know how much more trustworthy the "Only Ones" are.

If this had been you or I, we would be in jail, probably facing attempted murder charges, our fire arm confiscated, our wife arrested as an accessory, and our children taken into 'protective custody" by CSD with the probability of us being charged also with child endangerment.
ReplyDeleteNow don't get me wrong. The man as a citizen has the right to defend himself and his family from assault, it is just that there is such a huge difference in the double standard that is laid upon us "common" citizens and members of the constabulary.

Well, now...
ReplyDeleteIf the nice off duty police man decided to shoot the two fellows, it MUST have been the right thing to do! He's a COP! He knows these things! He has special COP training, and special COP abilities, and a superhero costume (which he wasn't wearing at the time, apparently) and a magic shield, which, combined, make him impervious to wrong-doing.
Of course there will be a thorough investigation, followed by the inevitable exoneration, after which we can all go back to sleep.
Now, all of you commoners, don't you go getting the idea YOU can use deadly force in defense of yourself and your family. You just call Big-Daddy and hope for the best. Be a good witness.
Common serfs and rabble should not go around assaulting their betters.
Wait a minute... Firehard, whose side are you on?
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a problem with cops who honestly have to defend themselves, but we figure that cuts both ways. Cops don't have to defend themselves a second time in court, but we do. It's the double standard that we despise. And a lot of cops overstep their authority, and some police shootings are questionable, but are just swept under the rug just because it was a cop. That's another thing we hold against them.
Crotalus--deleted "Firehard"--I've been informed he's a troll and imposter. Will continue to delete--I do not tolerate liars.
