I'm sorry, but I cannot get worked up over this. There is no party in our two party system that stands for limited government or respecting any of our rights. All of the parties are out to advance government power, they only quibble about who should wield that power. The dissenters in both parties are few and largely powerless.
So bring on Sen. Franken. It won't be that much worse than it already is. For it sucketh a great deal now.
What did you expect from this Senate race, a Statesman? Anyone with the intellectual capacity to be great in this office is off doing other things, former Senator Obama (D-IL) included. Why was Ted Kennedy (D-MA) reelected for so many terms? Because the Republican Party selected bigger idiots to run against him.
On the plus side, things would have continued in the steady downward spiral under McCain. With Obama in the White House and the Dems having the House and Senate, the slow spiral has turned into a cliff dive.
We may have a chance to restore the Constitution from the ashes of the current administration.
The people of Minnesota have elected a clown to the United States Senate.
ReplyDeletePeople of Minnesota, you get the government you deserve.
