I See Nothing Here...

..that a high-power air rifle wouldn't handle discreetly and efficiently. That way, enuretic neighbors inclined to report louder noises never need know. [More]

People who recommend golf clubs really haven't seen what a rabid animal can do. You don't want to let them get that close.

  1. I live about 30 miles northeast of this siting of coyotes near St. Petersburg, Florida. About five years ago a fox attacked a child in my yard, biting the child on the legs and arms. Minutes later, it took more than six .45 ACP hollowpoints from a Glock to kill the fox, which was then charging at a deputy sheriff. And yes, the fox tested positive for rabies. The child received the rabies vaccine shots and survived.

A good use of the golf club? To increase separation distance to avoid blood splatter on yourself when you shoot the damn thing at close range!

  2. Coyotes will send one animal in close to make friends with your pet and lead it off to the pack, where the pack will dine at its leisure. I would like to know what kind of high powered air rifle will kill a small cat much less a coyote.
