Only a Madman

According to Jan Libourel, the editor of Gun World magazine, "Nobody but a madman would oppose some sort of gun control laws." [More]
I need to read the article before I form a conclusion. I have not found it online.

One thing's for sure--taking the VPC at their word about anything would be an act of true madness.

  1. I couldn't find the article, but I have several questions for Mr. Libourel, if indeed his statements are taken in "context."

    1. How many more unconstitutional gun laws over the 20,000 or so that already exist does Jan Libourel believe we "need"?

    2. How does Mr. Libourel's comments being quoted by anti-Bill of Rights organizations help the subscribers to Gun World magazine and NRA/GOA supporters?

    3. Are the millions of people who have purchased guns after the election of B. H. Obama considered to be "madmen" by Libourel?

    4. Why should anyone support a magazine that employs a quisling as an editor?

    5. What guns should be controlled, and how will controlling guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens (you know, the ones who typically OBEY laws) help reduce crime?

    6. Which current gun laws does Mr. Libourel consider to currently be "effective?"

  2. I stopped Reading Gun World and didn't re-subscribe a while back, when it started giving me a headache.

  3. There is only ONE true/legal law about guns in the US, the 2nd Amendment, all else are unconstitutional.

  4. Oh my gosh, just what we need, more reasonable spokespeople like this traitorous quisling and that other clown, Zumbo.

  5. Ah, now there's an idea...

Once we've been able to read the actual article - so we're not throwing stones blindly - it would seem we might contemplate giving this bozo the "Zumbo."

    I'm in. [wicked grin]

Tiptoeing off to find the article...

  6. Ah, yes, divide and conquer.

When did I fall into a time machine set for the early 1990's?

  7. Every man, woman, and responsible child has an unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human right to obtain, own, and carry, openly or concealed, any weapon -- rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything -- any time, any place, without asking anyone's permission.

  8. If true, it would hardly be surprising.

Sadly, the gun rags are no real help at all. I check in again every so often, and every time I do, it seems that there is either a rampant Zumbo problem, or that the place is absolutely infested with Only One attitudes. "By cops, for cops".

One telltale indicator of this latter problem, for what my opinion is worth, is the prolific use of the disgusting term "operator", as a dehumanizing substitute for "officer" or "agent of the state". "Operator" implies an anonymous, amoral, essentially non-sapient remote-control extension for the real decision-making participants...but in this case, "operators" are not making phone connections, but deploying lethal instruments against human beings at the orders of their protected, plausibly deniable masters.

See where I'm going with this? I detest the word mostly because it's too effin' accurate. The days of the "peace officer" are loong gone, having first been replaced by "police officer", then "law officer", then "law enforcement officer", and since even that is no longer descriptive, we now have the subhuman term "operator". It certainly goes with all the covered faces and ninja gear, doesn't it?

Based on how all this has been "progressing", how long do you think it will take before they just call it "wet work" again?

  9. I have to say that I am a real big supporter of FMG publications magazines "GUNS" and American Handgunner"

The have a really good columnist that writes a certain gun rights column....

    ;-)

Plus other notables such as Mr. John Tafin, Mr. John Connor, Mr. "Duke" Venturino. Great writers and patriots all.

I will continue to subscribe to these fine publications as long as they continue to employee the talent of such fine contributors.
