May I suggest that you start small in you rplanning? Living in Florida or other places where bad weather can hit, such as hurricanes, blizzards, or tornadoes, you may need to live 3 days to 3 weeks without the essentials like electricity and stocked supermarkets. How will you manage it? Get a workable answer to that question before scaling up to the Apocolypse.
Another suggestion is to rank you "risk scenarios" for which you are preparing based on probability. The highest probability are things that might happen to an individual (job loss, illness, death in the family), then local (fire, storm damage to home, etc), then regional (long term power outtages), then federal, then global.
Good list thanks for posting.
