They wouldn't let May out of jail for three months until tests proved the so-called drugs were candy. And the "Only Ones'" War on Everything continues...
While May was behind bars, the Kissimmee Police Department towed his car and auctioned it off. He lost his job and was evicted. [More]
What, your life was destroyed? Hey, they were just following department protocol.
Every damned "officer" involved in this outrage should be publicly identified, held personally criminally and civilly accountable, and humiliated and shunned by all decent people.
Oh, I forgot--they can kidnap and hold us hostage for that, too.

AMAZING. It leaves one without words... Then you pull it together and you find lots of questions.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this guy's recourse?
Can this guy file for false imprisonment?
Can this guy sue for damages?
The policy is obviously ridiculous. But just because it is "policy" doesn't mean it's not illegal.
Was he ever charged? He clearly wasn't convicted.
Un-effing-believable.
What's next for May? Some people, when they have nothing left to lose, will do what many have not the balls nor the stomach to do. I'll just end it right there.
This is just half of the reason why the evil and stupid War on (some) Drugs needs to end today, and everyone associated with it needs to be exiled to the moon. Without a suit.
ReplyDeleteAll the more reason to head for the hills and dig in like an Alabama tick.. That's my plan. Then I can just kick back, cook some 'shine, and await the call.....
ReplyDeleteMy name is Charles H. Sawders. I am not the III which is my son. Now you can say you have been warned, any LEO's that read here.
ReplyDeleteIf you do something like that to me your fear of a lawsuit would be unfounded. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't fear.
I am not the III which is my son.
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean there are multiple straightarrows? A straightarrow squad?
Keep calling down the thunder, we're multiplying.
As for the story, I just don't know what to say. I can imagine being shot because I've been shot "at" and I can imagine cops taking a car and planting drugs because it happened to a buddy back in high school, but this...my eyes just roll back into my head and I start twitching. There aren't words for it.
No, there are, but I don't need a no-knock on my door at this hour.
Shunned? False arrest is kidnapping, a capital offense. The proper response is due process, speedy trials, and public hangings.
ReplyDeleteHmm....Guilty until proven innocent by way of lab test. The test would have taken only a few minutes, but probably was put in a queue with lots of other tests that needed to be run. No need for speed in this case, because holding the arrestee in jail pending trial is part of the plan.
