I was there for the entire protest. It's amazing how many folks gave us the thumbs-down sign (or worse) as they drove past us.
As the woman next to me remarked: "As dangerous as they think folks with guns are, they must be very brave to give us these signals as they go by!"
The police (both marked and unmarked) contingent kept a very close watch over us all day, as did more than a few folks having no insignia other than a coiled earpiece...
