Should Violent Police be Exempted from Mandatory Minimum Sentences?

These bills are not the way to fix that, nor the way to fix injustices in flawed mandatory minimum sentencing standards, typically championed by "law and order" types, and which will still be imposed on the rest of us. On their face they make a mockery of equal protection by bestowing unequal privileges and immunities.   1. The police should all be fired and sent home. Their record proves it. The only thing I would exempt them from is outhouses. Things stink bad enough out there.
