A 23-year veteran of the Hazlet Police Department and treasurer of the local PBA admitted yesterday to stealing more than $16,000 from the union. [More]
This guys in trouble now. He should have never wandered of the DVL (designated victims list).
How stupid can he be? He has been practically guaranteed 320 million prospective victims in this country who seldom can gain justice for his actions and he steals from members of his own gang?
I just got here from Sipsey Street so I'm a newbie to your site. I'm asking an honest question here, not trying to be a smart ass and I'm certainly NOT criticizing your opinions or the veracity of your posts. These things speak for themselves. Are you pointing out and condemning (rightly) individual acts of official police corruption or are you anti law enforcement in general? Again, I'm not trying to stir the pot, just trying to get a handle on your views about the police. I am a veteran, police officer and an Oath Keeper. Thank you.
Regular readers are familiar with my "Only Ones" files, promoting with anecdotal evidence the thesis that positions in government should not automatically qualify someone for privileges and immunities not enjoyed by all. The genesis of this concept was DEA agent Lee Paige, who, after telling a group of schoolchildren he was "the only one professional enough in this room to carry a Glock 40," shot himself in the foot in front of the class.
Law enforcement employees are not the only ones society can trust with guns.
Also click on the "only ones" link in the above blog post. Long time readers can affirm I don't go looking for these.
That said, I make no apologies. Corruption from career-minded command staff and union-first rank-and-file abuses abetted by a "code of silence" puts the lie to the "few bad apples" excuse, and taints everyone who goes along to get along.
