"As I walked closer, about five to six feet away from them, I heard Chief Ramsey say we're going to lock them up and teach them a lesson," Detective Paul Hustler said in the written testimony, claiming no protesters had been arrested before Ramsey made the comment. [More]I can't help but notice that Snouty here has as many stars on his shoulder as George S. Patton.
So the function of peace officers is to teach lessons through punishment? Maybe some day, he will be taught a lesson of his own. Something about how he was supposed to be a public servant, not an imperious "Only One"...
It's not up to police to "teach 'em a lesson". That's a job for the courts. Unfortunately, too many law enforcement and correctional officers have the "teach 'em a lesson" attitude.

Not just a galaxy of gold on his epaulets but enough scrambled eggs on his cap to make any third world tinhorn capo envious. How the hell do idiots like Ramsey, Kelly (NYC), etc rise to the top? Answering my own question, the scum always floats atop the pond.
ReplyDeletePoliticians.
ReplyDeleteHow they feel about our gun rights is how they feel about ALL our rights. I see more government repression than I can remember since ... since the firehoses and police dogs were turned on civil rights demonstrators in Selma.
Gee, MR. Ramsey, you got yours, so to hell with everyone else, is that it?
