Although he meant it to apply to any agent of the state--not just cops--I loved reading about this exchange between Grigg and his son, which was roughly thus: Son: ...so, the government... Grigg: Do not use such language in this house. Say 'those malignant bastards' instead.
I have decided to use the term "Law Imposement" from now on.

"I'm a Law Imposement Officer, and I'm here to..."
My preferred term is "Liberty Eradication Operative".
