Mama - It's his castle. If the man wants to open his door and have a look around, why not? Maybe they'd've kicked his door in. They knew he was wheelchair bound. Maybe they'd have waited until he was asleep, then broken in. He had a right to confront his suspicions just as he did, and he removed a predator from the gene pool. Good job, bubba!
Well, MamaL, sometimes we, as humans, become uncomfortable with a situation and have to weigh whether our not opening the door would cause or extend harm to a poor unfortunate against that niggling little suspicion that something isn't quite right. We sometimes make mistakes and should have listened to the warning voice instead of the helping voice. Hence, the need to be prepared.
But Heaven help us if we ever get to the point where we kill within ourselves the desire to help others because it is the safest thing to do all the time. I know not how others feel, but I will not be a prisoner in my own home.
Always good to see some awesome American Patriot standing up for himself and his rights, well in his case (and mine) they would be sitting down pushing themselves along for their rights...but its a WIN for we Constitutionalists- either way.
GOOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy in the world would he open the damned door if he was "suspicious?" The first line of defense is to avoid such an obvious threat.
ReplyDeleteI'm very glad he had a gun. If he'd used his brains first, he might not have needed to shoot.
