  1. He will be run out I bet. Comments over there are not too favorable for that DA. I am sure the locals are scratching their heads about it.

DPMS LOL at least they are not well equipped. I hope they enjoy clearing their rifle for more then just practice.

Johnson County has a SWAT team. I was shocked to learn about that one. I lived in Cleburne, TX for 2 years in the late 80s as a child. Dad was bringing reactor number 1 online over in Glen Rose, TX. That little town has no need for a tac-team either in my opinion. Can we say homeland security dollars? I also know they like to use meth as an excuse to arm up and run away playing Rambo.

  2. And he's only ordering 6,000 rounds of ammo [glancing over at partial personal stash of considerably more] for the entire ERT. "[O]ver-armed and under-trained" is dead right.

  3. All the local wags are into doing this kind of thing, it goes along with the state-mandated TV cameras at busy intersections, and the purchases of M113A2s, and security type armoured trucks. It's going to be just so much junk they lost, when it's over. Me likkee supply self with enemies equipment.

  5. And the head-knucklehead at Texas Tactical Police Officers Ass. speaks about 'semiautomatic machine guns'???? Texas is in trouble folks. At least Harris County refused to buy machine guns for our feckless sheriff's ship channel patrol boat; he thought he'd one up the Coast Guard I guess.

  6. The Collin County District Attorney Police Department? Just who the hell does he think he's impressing?

I'm not sure Texas law will support a district attorney implementing his own police department.
