I fear that this will pretty much guarantee that the next cop killing will be done by someone who has given up on the justice system, and declared war.

ReplyDeleteThere is an old Irish prayer that asks God to please turn our enemies' hearts, and if that cannot be done, then to turn our enemies' ankles, so that we will know them by their limping.
ReplyDeleteThat detective has definitely limped.
Now, if that detective ever discharges his weapon in the general direction of anyone, would you reasonably question his motives?
If you are his supervisor, would you count on him to be disciplined enough to not shoot indiscriminately, as the detective obviously does not believe there are any negative consequences?
