Then our urban areas will be all free Bubble Up n' rainbow stew!

Why hasn't anybody thought of trying this sooner?

  1. N' while we're at it, we could build a fire, sing a couple of songs, n' make up more stories about how to fix things using solutions PROVEN to have never worked. It's the socialist way.

  2. Don't forget the oversized posters depicting people with rolled up sleeves, tractors and flags fluttering in the wind.

  3. "INVALID INPUT"

Here's what I wrote, but was not accepted:

What is this, New Jersey circa 1966? The disarmament movement has received everything it ever wanted, from universal interference in arms transactions, to de facto bans in nearly every major city. New York City, for example, has had unquestioned arbitrary powers to prevent citizens from defending themselves since the Sullivan Act of 1911.

I give up. You tell me: what's the next step? Really, really, really ban self-defense and weapons? (We really, really, really mean it this time!) All this rubbish is an ineffective waste of tax payer money that endangers the life of everyone who believes in the "life" part of the guarantee of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". For what? For a problem that effects a single-digit percentage of the population--at best.

The worst run of crime in this country happened during the time when the most restrictive "gun control" rules were in place. Let's not revisit that period of our history. The number of handguns in the possession of Americans keeps going up, but crime is way down, and so are "accidents" due to negligent handling of weapons.

"Gun control"--what a fraud. Give it up, already.
