Via Carl S, who notes: "We know the solution for # 5 – the palliative has been proven to work in numerous other locations. Given that fact, why aren’t those who continue gun control held accountable as “aiding and abetting”, accessory before, during, and after murder, rape, robbery, etc ?"

  1. OK, they want to ban those dangerous guns that account for 2.7% of the deaths. What about those darned killer doctors who knock off 2.7%?

  2. More than half of Washington DC residents in other publicly-funded institutions give up long before accruing 32 consecutive years of failure.

Does it hurt to fail that hard? Doesn't it gnaw away at the conscience? Any doubts yet, after three decades? That sort of immobility is unknown to nature, and better suited to things with the disposition and intellect of a fence post.

Maybe- Maybe, you know, it's time to move #5 into some other list.

  3. Interesting that medical errors are listed as the same percentage as firearms. Maybe we should ban doctors?

  4. Ban alcohol, as it kills more people than guns!

... waitasec, didn't someone, somewhere, try that in America once before? I wonder how it turned out...

  5. Robbery, rape and murder are ALL "preventable" causes of death. At least for the intended victim.

Gosh! I've got an idea. Why don't they pass a "law" banning DEATH? That ought to fix it.

  6. Compulsory labor should take care of #2, which is more than five times higher than #5. Oh, wait a minute. I think they used to call that slavery. Never mind.

But then, were not slaves and former slaves at one time prohibited from owning firearms?

  7. To quote Carl S. (and be slightly redundant per above comments) - we know the solution to all of them - cradle to grave 100% totalitarian control of all aspects of all our lives. Carl is forging his own shackles. Hope they're custom fitted to be real comfortable.

  8. What did Carl S say that makes you think he's forging his own shackles?

  9. Don't see any comment by Carl S - just one from Carl Bussjaeger... I think they are two different people. And if you knew Carl B. as I do, you wouldn't want to even try to put him into any shackles! :)

  10. That actually says -2.7%, meaning that a net saving of life due to firearms was seen.

Well, we know that's generally the case, but somehow I don't think they corrected for it...
