And the story doesn't mention him having a...you know, rifle. Just "a sidearm."

I think we all need to learn a lot more. This certainly sounds odd, but it's not exactly like the "Authorized Journalists" have earned my automatic trust with their formula.

ReplyDeleteYes, our sad little state of NC has "[G]oing armed in terror of the public" defined as a crime. Translation is, "Local Only-One decides you shouldn't be carrying a gun because someone went into PSH mode when he saw you."
ReplyDeleteSo though open carry isn't prohibited by statute (and doesn't require a permit), it's effectively banned due to the (intentional) vagueness of the law.
WTF is a "formula" for a rifle scope?
ReplyDeleteDo they mean trajectory table which come in the box with a variety of range finding scopes?
Far be it from me to wish evil on anyone, although perhaps this incident will be an enlightening one for the 23-year old as to how "the system" works, regardless of the actual circumstances.
