By familiarizing ourselves with some of the medical community's "pro-gun players" and their works, we're in a better position to persuade doctors, who may have unquestioningly accepted certain anti-gun tenets, into taking a closer look. And being able to introduce them to peers who present findings through professional journals lends a credibility that should encourage at least the fair-minded into doing just that.
