I'm Your Huckleberry

xtheoldman

Too bad. Only about 2000 people eager to place their surrogate penises on public display. If all their guns were taken away, you'd have 2000 pussies running around with their hands over their crotches. It is said that the size of a a gun owner's penis is indirectly proportionate to the size of the weapon he carries. Bigger the gun, smaller the dick. And gun-toting women? Simple penis envy. (And I will happily remove the gun from any gun owner's cold dead hand.) [More]
Make it my hand? I'm real easy to contact.

Yeah, we're the haters.

  2. nonetheless, i can't help but note from the article that skip is blaming someone other than himself and his fellow organizers.

  3. That brings the cost per participant to something like $400.

i spent just over $380 on hotel, fuel, and incidentals, and for what i consider a successful operation. individualism prevails!

  4. Doesn't it work out to $40?

  5. yes, if one or the other is a typo, then it's hard to believe they spent $800,000 on that. doesn't mean i can't make fun.

Oh, yeah. How are you going to take my gun from my cold dead hand, without making it so? For sure, you will have to stop my bullets first.

  8. I left my comment:
    @xtheoldman:
    Bring it.

Too bad those 2,000 people are willing to defend the rights of even a collectivist hater like yourself. It is a shame that the unworthy, like yourself, are going to get saved by the brave when push comes to shove. Like most cowardly carrion fowl, you are happy to pick through the effects of the patriots after the battle is over.

Unlike you, I am not compensating for anything and am not projecting my irrational fears. I choose to exercise my rights, and am willing to fight for my beliefs. I do not ask the government to steal on my behalf. I do not ask the government to enslave others for my benefit. By the sounds of it, you heartily endorse the idea that we are our brother's keeper and should take from those who are able, to provide for those in need.

Here is an idea for you, try taking my gun from my warm, live hand all by yourself. Let's see how far you get.

  9. Ahem, "inversely" proportionate.

Stop trying to seem smarter than you actually are.

  10. Some idiot poster ("wrinklemomma") who clearly considers herself an expert on the history of the Constitution wrote this:
"In reference to the Second Amendment- the Founders did not add it because they didn't trust the federal government (Themselves), they added it because, in the few years between the end of the Revolutionary War and the signing of the Constitution, they had not had the time or the revenue to create a federal army, they needed an armed citizenry to BE the army. Read your REAL history, fer cryin' out loud, before you say such howl-at-the-moon stupid stuff."

The above post pretty much reflects the IQ of the posters who objected to Skip's essay.

Forget the constitutional proscription of creating a federal standing army in peacetime - Article II of the Bill of Rights was created to fill the gap of a standing army until one could be created. Uh huh.

There's no point in getting lured into a debate with self-proclaimed "experts" whose expertise doesn't extend beyond the boundaries of gun hating websites and all the "studies" posted there.

Arguing with idiots is a waste of time. I won't bother to argue flat-earth theories with maroons.

I couldn't help but notice that most of the fools posting couldn't help but toss in ad hominem assaults - sprinkled with unnecessary expletives - to demonstrate their exemplary debating skills.

Apparently AlterNet doesn't have rules for posting comments on their website. It also appears that their target audience is mostly teens ditching school, hiding in the basement and using mommy's computer. If actual adults posted those screeds, they're already damaged goods, and should be dealt with accordingly.

The only coherent comments were posted by people who supported the event and/or understand the issue and the ramifications thereof.

  11. Newbius, I read your post on the Alternet site.

Well stated. Clearly Mr. "small penis" doesn't have the stones to accept your offer. I guess it's easy to cast aspersions on the size of one's johnson, while at the same time sporting pea-nutz.

  13. X is a man-gina.
And if a gun is a penis and he wants to take my gun, doesn't that mean he wants my penis?
    Sounds gay to me.
