We're NOT the Only Ones Loaded Enough

The police reloaded it for me. [More]
Excellent work there.

Take a look at Nelson McAlpine there. What chance do you think 89-year-old Beatrice Turner would have had against this door-buster had she not been armed?

What kind of monster would insist that she not be?

O.K. maybe not all cops are the enemy, but could these guys be the new "rogue cops"?

As for the monster(s) who insist that she be unarmed, there are Paul Helmke, and Furious Mike Bloomberg,. Both are evil personified in my book.

Little pieces of news like this bring some cheery light on dark days.

It's still a drag that the lady had to put up with the violent criminal, the broken door, and all, but thankfully, that was the extent of the damage.

  4. Well done Beatrice. The police reloaded it for her. Pretty decent. And as to the monsters that would disarm her, the lowest place in hell isn't low enough.

  5. Luckily, Beatrice didn't actually strike him with the round that she fired. If she had, the police would have confiscated her revolver, and she'd be rendered defenseless - instead of reloading her revolver.

Luckily, this incident ended well, since the police actually got there soon enough to apprehend the goblin - something that happens rarely.

Anyone notice that in typical MSM "authorized journalist" style, the reporter referred to her revolver as a "pistol?"

Good for the officers who insured her revolver was ready for use.

Now, will someone in the community please supply and install solid-core door for Beatrice? I'd do it if I lived nearby.

BTW - Beatrice's revolver would undoubtedly be categorized as a "Saturday Night Special" in some jurisdictions, and she wouldn't be "permitted" to keep it.

Funny how an inexpensive gun can still save one's life. There's little doubt that a goblin who is willing to destroy a door and enter a house - even after warnings from the homeowner - would have let her live after gaining entry. The goblin looks like he could have killed her with one good punch.

Words can't describe my disdain for the "people" who wish to disarm people like Beatrice and leave her to the whims of thugs who will destroy a door to illegally enter a house - knowing that only a small, elderly lady is on the other side.

I wish harm on few people. however, methinks it's a shame that thugs like the one in this incident don't scope out the homes and break down the doors of the creatures who promote their strident, anti-self defense agenda for the dispensable hoi polloi. This guy likely didn't break down her door at random. He probably watched her for a while - long enough to determine that she couldn't put up much of a fight.

This incident is a perfect illustration as to why gun ownership is so important. Most thugs simply don't know if the person they meet on the other side of the door is armed, or will have to simply plead for their life.

  6. I like how the local news bunnies were smiling when they reported the officers loaded the revolver for Ms Turner.

I read one article where her door is being replaced by a much stronger one. Her quote:"Long as they're on the outside, I won't bother you, but coming in, I was taught to defend myself."

    Sounds like a good philosophy.

  7. Not that I have the utmost confidence in the Des Moines Police department, but compare this event with the elderly woman from New Orleans that was beaten down to confiscate her gun.
