  1. I had this discussion with someone before. It didn't go very well. I even pointed out that every weapon of mass destruction was created from the knowledge a book gives. A bullet is the payload of a gun, and knowledge is the payload of a book. Needless to say, people just fear other people with guns, but are quite more comfortable knowing that people have complete access to knowledge about deadly gases that can be made from hardware store chemicals.

  2. Any student of Organic Chemistry knows how to generate a violently exothermic reaction. What prevents these from occurring intentionally more often? I believe the appropriate term is "civilization".
