    Google search for information on this shooting and you will discover that the slain police officer's father was a retired Chicago police officer with a handgun who returned fire to the robbers.

    Do you think the crime rate would be lower if the robbers could reasonably expect that type of response to happen more often?

    If nothing else, it would cull the herd.
