Why would they deny the entire reason for keeping them around in the first place--to secure the blessings of liberty?

This is from a career Cop I have known for many years, "There are only three types of people in this world, Cops, fuck-ups and potential-fuck-ups."
So, if you don a super hero costume and bear a magic shield everyday, there is now way you can be wrong. Everyone else IS your enemy, because they are wrong or about to be wrong. Period.
