We're the Only Ones To Grandmother's House We Go Enough

This directive, issued by a fragile female octogenarian confined to a hospital-style bed and tethered to an oxygen tank, was interpreted as “aggressive” behavior by Officer Thomas Duran, who ordered one of his associates : “Taser her!” [More]
Honest to God, folks, I don't go looking for these and you're only getting the tip of the iceberg in terms of what readers send me. I've literally got a dozen more in my inbox received since yesterday that I won't have time to get to. So to those of you who aren't seeing your tip featured, I'm sorry--there's only one of me and I need this site to be more than an "Only Ones" aggregator...

There should soon be six police funerals in El Reno, Ok. There won't be, but there should be.

Sgt. Duran, you are a despicable coward as are all you sociopathic torturers.

my mother is 86 and I promise you if anybody treated her in such a manner, his or their lives would end horribly and painfully. The damage may expand to those who hire them and protect them.

That is not a threat but damned good advice and a warning, if these sonsofbitches want to stay on the sunny side of the morgue

  3. Now, above all, don't nobody DO nothing. It didn't happen at Ft. Sumter, and we MUST hold the moral high ground, even as they assault, rape, rob, and murder us. It's the moral thing to do. I know, let's build a fire, sing a couple of songs............ hey, 4th of July is just around the corner, let's all celebrate our freedom!

  4. Time appass to be short.
Will the El Reno cops and city fathers wonder why cooperation with the police and the general attitude toward politicians is going to crap?
Sadists with badges, payment in kind is just ahead, when you inflict yourself on exactly the wrong person. You're creating more such people every day, increasing the odds of running up on one. The rest of my life in prison and loss of my reputation... trivial, compared with achieving justice.

  5. Yeah, if that were my Grandma, all those sons of bitches would be in the dirt.

A criminal with a badge is still a criminal.

  6. The lawsuit against the police is to be heard in federal court.
Will there be a defense of police actions? It'll be fascinating to find out whether they defend the indefensible.
I emailed the El Reno Convention and Visitors Bureau to let them know that their little community is getting national attention. They need to decide whether they want to be "good Germans" and let the Brownshirts play, or make examples of Duran and his co-thugs.

The police report says that the call was for attempted suicide, as the lady had taken an overdose because she had decided to die. When they got there, she took a knife out from under her pillow and threatened to kill tham as she had done to some Japs during WWII. She said all this while reclining in her bed in her 86 year old weak body.

So, instead of demonstrating patience and good techniques for persuading a suicidal person, they risked blowing up the oxygen tank by tasing her.

David, you've nothing to apologize for. You're doing more for the Cause than most of us ever will.

    Carry on.

  9. Anyone remember the magazine ad showing a police officer holding a child, I think, with the caption, "Some still call him Pig?" I wonder why anyone would ever call a policeman a pig.

  10. "The El Reno Police Department is here to ensure the safety and security of all people in the City of El Reno by providing responsive and professional police service with compassion and concern. Our purpose is to work with the community to build trust and provide quality service that actively prevents crime, reduces the fear of crime and promotes safety."
Don't they all say that or something like it?
Firings, jail, then. Should have been a done deal as of January.
BTW, my email to the convention and visitors bureau? They don't seem to be accepting incoming messages, for some reason.

  11. This is a clear case of bullies who are cowards at heart. The system will circle the wagons because the criminals in government needs nazi style Storm Troopers to install and maintain fear in the citizens so the citizens remain servants to those in government.
As many of us know this kind of conduct never happened back in the days of Peace Officers. In fact cops back then would have beat the crap out of another cop who did such a cowardly act. My how times have changed.
