In every socialist regime, criticism of Maximum Leader is considered evidence of a mental illness, even and especially when it comes from members of the Inner Party.
The evening news said some people -- the "professional Left" -- are disappointed with how little Obama has accomplished in 18 months. Nationalizing the automobile and investment industries, and soon the healthcare industry not enough for them? One extreme position mentioned is they want the Pentagon shut down. Well, a Joint Forces center in Norfolk, Va., is slated to be closed. That would be the center on the east coast that coordinates Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine elements in action. Sounds kinda imporant to that national defense thing. But it would eliminate 3,000 salaries. Meanwhile, fedgov is sending aid to Pakistan for flood victims. Pakistan, whose government is supporting the Taliban even while accepting our military assistance in fighting them. I believe we're also sending food aid to North Korea. I know the people of these counties are not the governments of these countries, and therefore not the enemy. But helping them takes the economic pressure off their tyrant rulers so they can concentrate on messing with us. All according to plan.
David, that statement is only true with analog clocks; we have entered the digital age, where a broken clock just sits there with a dead look on its face.
Gibbs is a sideshow. The knuckleheads he addresses know this is simply a feint to throw off the opposition and in November it's business as usual.
