Note that the real threat had been convinced to leave before the cops got there, but ANOTHER fight broke out as they arrived. The punks have their defenders who were upset that they were thrown out, is my guess. The parents of the ones who get killed in the gang wars always call them "nice boys, good boys."
And that's why it goes on.
