In Part Because

The National Rifle Association has long disputed the common claim that 90 percent of guns used in crimes in Mexico come from the U.S., in part, because of the fact that there are so many guns unaccounted for. [More]
No, we dispute it because "the common claim" isn't true. Ain't no "in part" about it. And the only reason it's common is because there's no shortage of useful idiots with megaphones to parrot the meme.

Frightening, how "Authorized Journalists" have the reach to influence so many--even when it's demonstrable they don't know what the hell they're talking about.

    Easy. Easier than a real job.
    Probably doesn't know a full-auto fom a revolver, like some career police reporters I know. See, their editors don't know either. Guns bad, night dark, Og scared.
