We're the Only Ones McMuffing It Enough

Good Lord. Over the suspected theft of two bacon egg and cheese sandwiches from a gas station? [Watch]

I guess we should be thankful Nichols didn't hit his victim. Otherwise, he may have had to put him out of his misery.

I dunno--don't you think a week off without pay is a perfect example of "Only One" overreaction? After all, it's easy to see how he feared for his life!

And what they think ours are worth.

  1. I'm just glad donuts weren't involved, they might have called in a SWAT team!

  2. I am not a psychiatrist, but I detect anger issues.
The SUV driver probably neither felt nor heard the little tap (of the bumpers, that is).
Inspector Javert in "Les Miserables," chasing Jean Valjean for 30 years over the theft of a loaf of bread, not so far-fetched.
It's not just a job, it's freakin' absolute power!!!
He hit the tire with one of those NINE shots. I wonder where the other eight ricocheted off to.
This man needs to be segregated from society, like right now, for its protection and his.

  3. The SUV driver was clear to back out -- UNTIL the trooper came whipping around the corner into the empty space he was about to back into, probably in the time between the driver checking right, left and behind, and pulling out. The whole thing was the trooper's fault.
To interpret that as an ATTACK...
Let me add to anger issues paranoia and narcissism.

  4. Any reasonable person can see from the video why the benighted officer "feared for his life."

Goodness - with that kind of blatant vehicular assault by an obviously dangerous criminal, the fear factor must have been through the roof. The police have to defend themselves then, don't they.
Gosh, this is even worse than being attacked by a 15 pound dog.

  5. Glad the trooper's "patrol rifle" was secure in his trunk.
Ever seen demolition derby? I think if an SUV intentionally rammed a police cruiser rear-to-front, the trooper would have been sitting there with his engine on the ground and his knees up around his ears.
The trooper reminds me of the helicopter gunship crew in a WikiLeaks video called "Collateral Damage." They were determined to kill someone. Noncombatants and a news crew were there. On gun-cam, the video camera looked like a weapon. They did it. Then they re-shot the mortally-wounded cameraman as he crawled for cover. Then they lit up a minivan that came to pick up the wounded and dead, with a tweenage girl asleep in the front seat.

  6. Britain's public stadiums and such are reportedly serving *everyone* meat that has been slaughtered according to Islamic halal rules. That is, throat slit and bled out while alive and conscious. No humane dispatch, no stunning, and a prayer to Allah over each animal during.
Calling PETA. PETA, where are you? Worse-than-hunting alert...
