Sounds like the NRA has accumulated enough rope and is looking for a beam to throw it over and a box to stand on. Maybe the soapbox from which they proclaim "From my cold dead hands -- unless they threaten me just enough with a new `existing law.' Then I'll do what any good citizen will do. Obey without lifting a finger of my warm, live hands."
The network news was trying to spread fear last night by referencing Ms. Angle's "Second Amendment remedies" quote. (My wife watches, I don't.) If it had been my first exposure to Ms. Angle, I would have pumped my fist in the air and yelled "All riiiight! A candidate who reads the Founders." Thanks, newsbleaters, for the free publicity. My guess is more viewers were pleased than scared.
