    "punched at officers with a closed fist and kicked one."
    And gets charged with assault with a "dangerous weapon."
    That's the trend. If you lift a finger...
    And, hearing stories about handcuffed suspects being beaten in anger, who would submit to being put in restraints?
    The explanation that officers may have to punch and kick a prone, handcuffed prisoner because they may still have a weapon or drugs... That sound you hear is many hundreds of marching feet: people coming over to the freedom side.
