What do Balinese dogs have to do with 'gun control'?

Aside from humans falling victims to rabid dogs, and to Sea Dogs engaged in rampant piracy throughout the region, we can also observe, not unexpectedly for those of us who warn against "monopolies of violence," tyrannical government abuse of its exclusive franchise. [More]

  1. My wife loves "House Hunters International." We've seen Americans buy beautiful homes in fantastic settings in Bali, Mexico, Croatia, Peru, Chile, France, Scotland, Honduras, you name it. The people are always "warm, friendly, welcoming."
I guess if you're politically oblivious -- or "neutral" ... meaning "an excellent victim"...

  2. The problem the Balinese have is that they are a Hindu island that was conquered by the Javanese ... all Muslims.

Timor has similar problems ( Catholic island conquered by the Javanese ) until the Anzacs got tired of watching a genocide in progress and intervened.

As usual in such cases, Islamics have no problems getting guns, but the local equivalent of Jews hiding in the attic are scrupulously disarmed by the local cops.
