Should 'insolence' be cause for losing guns?

What I expect is for someone who took an oath to the Constitution to understand that free citizens have a right to be where they want to be, that their right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, and that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.

That's what I expect. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows what you can expect when you don't properly demonstrate your obeisance to Philadelphia's finest.

  1. stories like this are why i decided not to go to Philly by myself on tuesday.
i do plan on making trips to Philly while openly carrying, but i don't plan on going alone. at the very least there will be one other person who is not carrying anything but a video (and a "hidden" audio) recorder
these bastards need to get straight with the law again. it's a damn shame there are practically no peace officers left.

  2. GREAT column, Mr Codrea.
I LOVE my violent video games (which Congress is upset about again), especially "Assassin's Creed" I and II and "The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion." So there's this Imperial Guard trooper fighting an ogre, or a bandit, or a minotaur, and I join in and help him kill it. I open a dialogue, and sometimes he'll say "Thanks for your aid, citizen," and sometimes he'll simply say "Move along."
If it's that imperious "Move along," I reply "F--- you" and wonder why I bothered. And consider hitting him with the "Enemies Explode" spell.
You can see why Congress is worried.
Do you own yourself, or do the police own you?

  3. In our Mayors Against Illegal Guns city, the police have 1) brought in a tear-gas fogger to encourage people to leave a party that wasn't dispersing fast enough to suit them. They shut it down because (gasp) people were holding cups of beer on the sidewalk out front. Drinking in public is illegal, and people might get injured. People jumped out of second-floor windows to avoid asphyxiation and were injured.
and 2) in the nightclub district, people weren't leaving the area of the just-closed bars fast enough, so a cop fired shotgun tear-gas rounds into a nearby wall over their heads, causing a stampede and injuries. That's MUCH better.
Or was 2) somewhere else and I just read about it? It's hard to keep them all straight, there are so many.

  4. These are the kind of people I label Sorry Excuses for Lawmen. 'should have to fight to get your personal property back' my ass. This clown should be fired just for that, since he obviously thinks nothing of the Constitution he swore to uphold.

Tells us what his oath is worth, too.

  5. It appears that he should have gotten on the first bus, but should have moved to the back of the bus.

It is time to organize peaceful gatherings in public places known to peturb those with authoritarian issues.

    Peaceable assembly, everyone?
