In May, gun industry lobbyist Lawrence Keane gave the FOP's charitable arm $100,000 from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the industry group representing gun manufacturers. Keane said the gift was unrelated to the FOP's positions on issues. [More]I should hope it was unrelated. In spite of the occasional concession, the frickin' FOP has been a leading voice for citizen disarmament since the old HCI days, and makes it clear their priorities are ones of your rights be damned when they conflict with their self-interest.
And how interesting to see their former BATFUer lobbyist Pasco is BFF with Waco Jim.
How typical that the Judenrat contingent thinks if it plays nice the monster won't turn on it. And how timely that I saw this talking point advocated the other day by an apologist for a more pragmatic approach:
If we lose cops, we lose.
Yeah, right. Pray that approach will work. I mean, as long as "we" are already on our knees...
Did you see that the NRA is buying Orlando "Only Ones" rifles that those same Only Ones would like banned for us? Excerpt:
ReplyDeleteThe Orlando Police Department soon could have two sniper rifles more common on the battlefields of Afghanistan than in an American city, if a grant from the NRA comes through.
The Barrett M95 sniper rifle has an effective range of more than a mile and fires a high-powered .50-caliber round that can penetrate a fortified bunker or a car's engine block. The hefty cartridge weighs a quarter-pound and is about 5 1/2 inches long — longer than a soda can and roughly twice the length of the ammunition used in an AK-47 assault rifle.
Dang.
