About 100 guests came and went from the celebration during the course of the evening, but only sheriff's deputies were involved in the scuffle.[More]And it surprises anyone to think they're the "Only Ones" who can't celebrate non-violently why again?
And oh look:
It was unclear if alcohol was involved, but sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said "it was a Christmas party, one could assume there was" drinking.Better not let you and me carry into an Applebees though, even if we don't drink anything. We're just not as awesomely trustworthy as these trained professional "peace officers."
Not that we have to worry about that in L.A., that is, if we're part of the crowd that advocates enforcing existing gun laws.
"The Sheriff's Department has a policy against its deputies being armed while off duty and drunk."
ReplyDeleteThink about that for a second.
"Drunk," not "drinking."
Seems to have come up before, maybe a lot.
Well, they have to party hard; law enforcement is a stressful job. Lots of Oppositional Defiant Disorder out here, you know. Imagine, people questioning the authority and trustworthiness of the Badged Ones.
